Albion fans have been told they can be excited about two potential deadline day signings.

Lech Poznan midfielder Jakub Moder and Legia Warsaw full-back or midfielder Michal Karbownik are both believed to be close to joining the Seagulls.

The plan would then for them to be loaned back to their current clubs.

Polish football expert Ryan Hubbard believes Albion could be pulling off a coup, albeit one with an eye for the longer term.

He told The Argus: “The pair are two of the most exciting and promising talents coming through in Poland at the moment.

“Both of them are on the fringes of the national team after great performances for their clubs and at youth level.

“Moder is a fantastic attacking midfielder. Likes to grab a hold of the ball and drive forward with it at his feet.

“Intelligent around the penalty area, with a fantastic shot on him. Has scored a couple of great goals.

“Karbownik is versatile. Had spells at both left-back and right-back, but has more recently also been pushed into a defensive midfield role.

“Also likes to drive forward with the ball, but obviously from a much deeper position.”

Karbownik was recently reported to be subject of a bid from Parma and has also interested Napoli.

Reporter Jakub Artych, of Wirtualna Polska, added: “Moder has made enormous progress. Karbownik and Moder are two of the greatest talents in Poland.”
