Steven Alzate helped Colombia open their World Cup qualifying campaign with a win.
The Albion midfielder went on as sub for the final stages of a 3-0 win at home to Venezuela.
He replaced James Rodriguez and was widely thought to have performed well as his team saw the job through.
Colombia now head to Santiago to play Chile in their second fixture of their campaign to reach the 2022 finals.
Alzate has a new boss to impress with Carlos Queiroz now in charge – and off to a winning start.
