Steven Alzate and his Colombia colleagues have been given a euphoric welcome to Chile.
The Albion man gave a wave to cheering hordes as he and colleagues made their way from the team hotel in Santiago.
Alzate is expected to be on the bench for Colombia as they play the second match of their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The fixture has been moved back from its planned start time and will now kick off at 1.30am, BST.
Alzate will then make the long trip back in time to prepare for Albion’s game at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
