Jose Izquierdo got another 45 minutes of playing time today in his return from a long-term knee injury.
The Colombian started on the left wing as the under-23s took on Liverpool at Lancing.
He was quite bright in a first half in which Albion created several chances and should have gone ahead.
Izquierdo himself sent one effort past the top corner and drilled one too close to the keeper before making way for Peter Gwargis at half-time.
His 45 minutes represented a step up from the half-hour he enjoyed on his comeback away to West Ham two weeks ago.
Albion went on to win 1-0 with a goal from Reda Khadra.
The under-23s are next in action on Friday when they play Leicester City.
