Adam Lallana has revealed he played a part in attracting Danny Welbeck to Albion.
The former England striker has signed a one-year deal.
Lallana said Welbeck’s arrival is a “huge boost” and revealed he spoke to him about what the Seagulls had to offer.
Lallana told Sky Sports: “I’ve been speaking to him over the last couple of weeks so I’ve given him a great sales pitch!

“I’ve left him be the last week or so because he obviously needs to make his own mind up.
“I think we are very fortunate to have the calibre of player of Danny.”
