Albion player ratings at Crystal Palace

Maty Ryan 6

Another of those games here he was so hard to judge. Beaten from the spot and then hardly anything to do.

Tariq Lamptey 7

Unlucky or naive on the penalty award? Opinion seems split to a degree but plenty of players will do more than he did without being penalised. Offered a great outlet down the right.

Adam Webster 7

Decent in the main and confident on the ball although there were some suggestions he might have done more to help Lamptey in the penalty incident.

Lewis Dunk 6

Played some really nice passes when Albion looked to go a bit longer in the second half but his red card could cost dear.

Dan Burn 6

Perhaps a surprise starter and generally did pretty well although could not prevent the cross which led to the penalty. His added height when defending set-pieces was hardly needed.

Ben White 8

Showed another impressive string to his bow in a midfield role. Being picky, he might have done better with a first-chance he created for himself but was effective in helping keep Albion on top.

Yves Bissouma 7

Not afraid to go for goal after his super strike at Everton but his misses ranged from side-netting to back of the stand. Still, am athletic and forceful display .

Leandro Trossard 5

Has been a real livewire so far this season but disappointingly little was seen of him this time.

Adam Lallana 8

Looked up for the challenge from the start end was a class above at times. Great movement, clever passing and flicks and a through ball which really should have been finished off by Maupay on the right foot. A joy to watch.

Solly March 7

Got into great positions down the left and posed Palace plenty of questions without ever really finding the killer touch.

Neal Maupay 6

Has to be marked down for his efforts after finding himself two great positions in the second half but he never stops nagging at defences and played a part in the equaliser with a heads-up bit of play rather than chasing his losses with another shot.

Subs

Alexis Mac Allister

Not on for long but what an impact. it might just have been landmark afternoon for him in the Premier League.

Arron Connolly

Thrown on for the late push.

Pascal Gross

One crossfield ball of beauty in his brief stint.

Referee Stuart Attwell 5

Inevitably officials (including video ref Kevin Friend) are judged on the decisions they get wrong rather than those they get right. There were plenty of correct calls but the one which was wrong looked horrible as Tariq Lamptey’s hands surely did not impede Michy Batshuayi. Full marks to the assistant who spotted Batshuayi was later offside as he netted. It was a very tight call but VAR proved he got it right,
