Graham Potter has explained his two reasons for playing Ben White in midfield.
White operated alongside Yves Bissouma in the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
Steven Alzate was left out of the XI after an international fortnight which saw him train and play in both Colombia and Chile.
Potter said: "Watching Crystal Palace, they are very dangerous on the transition.
“When you lose the ball and they attack with the front four, they are very direct and very dangerous.

“Having Ben there as a security for that and it also allowing us to attack down the sides with our lateral centre-backs was the thinking from a tactical perspective.
“Ben could play that game and Steven has had a long trip back from South America.”
