Albion head coach Graham Potter has praised Alexis Mac Allister after he came off the bench to score the equaliser in their 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace yesterday.

The Argentinian attacking midfielder came on in the 78th minute for Adam Lallana as Albion pushed to get back on level terms.

In the 90th minute, Mac Allister scored his first Premier League to earn Albion a point.

And Potter has praised Mac Allister for being a model pro.

He said: “He has had to be patient and it is another example that football can change quite quickly. You can feel that you are not in the team or in the group.

“But you are always in the group, always available, you are working hard to try and get your opportunity so when it comes you are ready.

“Alexis has been a top professional and he’s worked hard.

“He’s got on with his job helping the team, improving the team and it is nice.

“Everybody wants to start, but sometimes what it is as important are the guys that finish the game, can influence it, and get the result you need.”
