Horsham manager Dom Di Paola says they will not underestimate East Thurrock as they prepare to face them tonight.

East Thurrock currently sit bottom of the PitchingIn Isthmian Premier having failed to win any of their opening seven league games.

However, Di Paola has admitted his side will have to be wary of The Rocks, despite their league position.

He said: “They are going to want to get results just like the rest of the teams in this league.

“You are always wary of everyone, if you don’t respect teams you will get found out anyway.

“But we just want to go up there, keep up those standards that we have set and keep the performance level as high as we can and hopefully that will be enough.”

The Hornets head into the game off the back of their 4-0 win at home to Brightlingsea on Saturday.

That win moved them up to tenth place in the table, having picked up ten points from their opening seven league games.

A win tonight could see Horsham climb to sixth.

And Di Paola hopes they can continue their run of good form.

He said: “We played really well on Saturday, so hopefully we take that confidence into the game.

“I’m not sure Brightlingsea were at their best as they sacked their manager after the game, so I don’t know how much you can look into that.

“It was a good result, we were pretty happy with the way we played.

“We are in pretty good form, even the games we have lost recently we have played well in.

“So, we have just got to keep the standards of performance high.”
