EAST Thurrock United claimed their first win since February with a 3-2 victory over Horsham, reports Leon Imber.
Luke Illsley opened the scoring with Zenon Stylianides netting two goals either side of half time to secure the three points for Paul Martin’s men.
The result sees East Thurrock off the bottom of the table bettering Merstham by a point, however the latter has two games in hand on the Essex side.
In the Essex Senior League, Southend Manor were victorious as they defeated Saffron Walden 2-1.
Manor’s win came in dramatic fashion, as Ben Allen netted a very late penalty with their two goals coming in the last 15 minutes of the match.
Harry Rogers was also on target.
Elsewhere in the division, Hashtag United saw off Clapton 3-0.
Joe Gregory bagged a brace as Kiernan Hughes-Mason was also on the scoresheet.
The result extends The Tags’ lead at the top of the table.
