Jayson Molumby caught the eye at Wembley tonight as his Republic of Ireland colleagues struggled.
The Irish, captained by Shane Duffy, went down 3-0 to England in a friendly.
Seagulls midfielder Molumby was one of the bright spots for the visitors after going on as sub for Conor Hourihane in the 71st minute.
Former Republic striker David Connolly, working as summariser for talkSPORT, said: “He’s that box to box we are talking about. He’s the future. He has had a really good game.”
Molumby now has four caps for the Republic as he awaits his league debut for Albion.
Duffy had another testing night, notably in the air against Harry Maguire, who scored the first goal (pictured above).
But the Albion defender on loan to Celtic almost pulled a goal back late in.
