Albion head coach Graham Potter has been impressed with Aston Villa, as they prepare to face them on Saturday (3pm, BT Sport).
Villa sit sixth in the Premier League with 15 points from their first seven games.
And Potter has admired how they have done this season.
He said: “I have been really impressed with them.
“I think they have invested really well in the summer, they have identified the areas where they were maybe not so strong and they have recruited well.
“They have bought four or five starting 11 players and added in the areas where they can get a real benefit.
“I think they are a team that have a lot of really talented players, dangerous players and have got one of if not the best player in the league at the moment in Jack Grealish.
“So I think Dean and the club have done a great job, you can see how hard it is in the Premier League that even a club like Aston Villa with their size, history and culture that they had to fight last season to stay in the league.
“They have recognised they need to improve and they have done that well.”
