Jack Grealish will be more confident than ever when he takes on Albion.

That is the expectation of his Aston Villa boss Dean Smith ahead of the Seagulls’ visit tomorrow.

Smith recognises his star playmaker was not short of self-belief anyway.

But he goes into the Premier League contest on a high after impressing for England against Belgium and Iceland.

Grealish’s efforts against the Belgians earned particular praise.

Smith said: “Hopefully it will give him an awful lot of confidence.

"The boy didn't need an awful lot of confidence anyway as he is a confident player, confident lad.

"He knows he has an ability but obviously going and doing it on the world stage against the No.1 ranked team and playing as he did will give him a lot of confidence.

"I was pleased and proud to see him performing - and pleased to see him come off the pitch after 73 minutes (against Iceland on Wednesday)."

Smith expects to make only minimal changes to his side, who won 3-0 at Arsenal going into the international break.

Villa will go provisionally top of the table if they win.
