Adam Webster hopes for a repeat performance at Villa Park – without the cruel finale.

The Albion centre-back scored his first top-flight goal in last year’s game at Villa Park.

His side controlled the early stages but were on the back foot after Aaron Mooy was sent off.

They ultimately lost to a Matt Targett goal four minutes into added time.

Webster will hand the armband back to Lewis Dunk tomorrow but is expected to start the game.

He said: “I obviously had the high of scoring my first goal for the club in the Premier League and then the low of the result at the end, so it’s an afternoon I remember well.

“I think we played really well that day, even after we had gone down to ten men. We were still the better team.

“To concede at the time we did was tough. But if we can go there and play like we did last year then I fully expect us to get a good result.”
