Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool might as well 'send Albion the points' after being given a hectic schedule this week.

The Reds host Atalanta on Wednesday night, before then travelling to the Amex to take on Graham Potter’s side on Saturday (12:30pm, BT Sport).

Broadcasters like BT Sport are picking sides such as Liverpool to play in the early kick-off less than three days after playing in Europe.

This has led to managers like Klopp and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer calling for the Premier League and broadcasters to reconsider putting them in the lunchtime kick-offs.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leicester last night Klopp said the broadcasters need to think carefully about their TV picks.

He said: “It’s a massive problem. Playing Wednesday and then Saturday at 12:30 is a broadcaster problem and nothing else.

“People tell me if we want to change, then we need to schedule a meeting. For what? Then you give us money back?

“We have two teams who play Champions League on both a Tuesday and Wednesday night, then we have teams in the European League on Thursday night.

“So what do you do, because you pick first (Sky Sports) and then BT picks us.

“We play against Atalanta on Wednesday and then at12:30 [on Saturday] against Brighton.

“It’s an early Christmas present. We will show up there shaking.

“I thought about sending them the points!

“That’s how it is because you go there, you can always lose a football game, that is of course possible.

“But it’s a problem. We cannot change 11 players. It’s just not possible.

“We can’t just show up, we have to win football games. That’s how it is.

“We need to start talking and start making decisions.

However, Klopp has been given a boost ahead of Liverpool's trip to the Amex.
