Tudor Baluta could get another taste of Champions League football for Dynamo Kiev as they host Spanish giants Barcelona tonight.
However, they will not be facing Lionel Messi after Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman confirmed he will be rested for their trip to Ukraine.
Koeman said: “We’ve got various players out due to injuries and we’ve decided that we won’t be taking Leo or Frankie (De Jong) because the situation in the Champions League is quite comfortable for us with the nine points that we’ve got.”
Baluta made his debut in the Champions League at the end of last month, coming off the bench in Kiev’s 2-2 draw against Ferencvaros.
He was ruled out of the reverse fixture with Barcelona at the start of the month, after testing positive for Covid-19.
That saw his self isolate and not feature for two weeks.
The 21-year-old then returned to action for Kiev at the weekend as he came off the bench in the 90th minute, in their 2-0 win over Ingulets Petrove.
Kiev currently sit third in Group G with a point from their first three games.
