England striker Danny Ings could be fit to face Albion after all.

The Southampton goalgetter was expected to miss the forthcoming South Coast clash due to a knee injury.

However Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl today revealed Ings has made a rapid recovery.

The trip to the Amex has been pushed back more than 48 hours, which could make all the difference for Ings if it is a close-run thing.

He was forced off during the closing minutes of the 4-3 win at Aston Villa on November 1.

Following minor surgery on his left knee, the 28-year-old, who has scored five Premier League goals so far, had been expected to be sidelined for around six weeks.

Hasenhuttl, though, revealed he has already been able to resume training.

He said: “Danny is back in individual training on the pitch, so I think he can be an option for the Brighton game, which is moved to Monday now, but this weekend not.
