Pascal Gross wants to see more big names sign for Albion.

The creative midfielder revealed he was not worried about his own place when Adam Lallana arrived from Liverpool.

He said: “I want to play in as strong a team as possible and have good players around me.

“It makes training more competitive and I hope it improves me as a player as well, training every day with better players.

“I wasn’t worried, I looked forward. Even though Danny Welbeck came in, I wasn’t worried, I’m happy.

“You can see the club is growing and getting better and I’m part of it.”

Gross said Lallana has made a big impact at the club.

He added: “I think on the pitch you all can see his quality.

“He’s a top-class player. He’s very good on the ball. You can give him the ball, he knows what to do with it.

“He’s getting better and better every week as well.

“Off the pitch, as a human being, he has both feet on the floor.

“He only tries to help if you have a question. He knows the game very well.

“As a player and as a person, he makes us a better club and a better team.”

Assists-king Gross is happy with his form - but he is not basing that on stats.

He said: “I look more at video clips the coaches give me, where I see what I do in the game, what I can improve, what I probably should do better.

“That maybe helps me a little bit more, because I can see it better.

“I know it’s me and it was in the game, and it’s better than reading statistics, for me. Other people probably use them more.”
