Albion head coach Graham Potter was ‘proud of his players’ after their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the Amex.

The Seagulls battled back from a goal down to earn a point against The Reds.

Albion did survive a couple of scares as Liverpool had two goals ruled out for offside in either half from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

But Potter was full of praise for his side after the result.

He said: “Performance wise I thought we were really good.

“I am so proud of the players as I thought we put such a lot into the game.

“We were playing against a top opponent, but we played with intensity, courage, personality and created some opportunities.

“The margins I think went in our favour today, which can happen sometimes. But I thought we deserved that in terms of the levels of our performance.”
