The 23-year-old has been impressing with his performances in his debut season in the Premier League for the Seagulls, not only at the back but in a defensive midfield role recently.
The Argus understands that United are keeping a close eye on him and he is among other centre backs that they are monitoring at the moment.
However, Albion have been consistent in their message that they have no wish or need to sell White.
Albion head coach Graham Potter is not concerned by White having his head turned by any interest in him.
