Sussex’s fixtures for the group stage of the 2021 County Championship have been confirmed.
They will play alongside Glamorgan, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire and Yorkshire in group three of the seeded group stage of the competition.
It will be Ian Salisbury’s first campaign in charge of Sussex, with Jason Gillespie leaving over the close-season.
Sussex kick-off their season at the 1st Central County Ground against Lancashire from April 8 to April 11.
A week later they are then on the road as they head to Wales to take on Glamorgan from April 15 to April 18.
The Sharks have also announced they will play Sri Lanka in a T20 tour match on Sunday June, 20.
After all the group stage fixtures have been completed, the top two teams from each group will go into division one, third and fourth into division two and fifth and sixth into division three for another four matches – two at home and two away.
These will be played on Monday August 30 to Thursday September 2, Sunday September 5 to Wednesday September 8, Sunday September 12 to Wednesday September 15 and Tuesday September 21 to Friday September 24.
The winner of division one will be crowned 2021 county champions, before taking on the runners up in a five-day match at Lord’s between Monday September 27 and Friday October 1.
The 1st Central County Ground is currently listed as the venue for all of Sussex’s home matches in the competition.
However it is hoped that it will be possible to play one match at Arundel Castle subject to the Covid-19 situation.
