Albion head coach Graham Potter has revealed there have been no approaches for midfielder Yves Bissouma.

He has been reportedly linked with moves to Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, after impressing for the Seagulls so far this season.

However, The Argus understands both United and Arsenal are looking to strengthen in other areas.

Potter was asked if there had been any approaches for Bissouma, to which he replied: “There have been no approaches.

“As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the media, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.

“My focus is on Yves and how I can help him improve and I think he’s still got some improvement to make.

“That’s my focus with him, to try and help him reach his full potential. He’s got some work to do yet, so that’s what we are focusing on.”

Albion travel to West Ham on Sunday (2:15pm).

But with the game two days after Christmas Day, is Potter planning to bring the players in on the big day?

He told The Argus: “No this year we have a recovery day on Christmas day.

“So, that gives the players some time with their families, all be it in a limited way because of the situation we are in.

“We play on the 27th, so we will have the training session on the 26th and then we are ready to play the next day. So, it fits with our programme doing it that way.”
