Graham Potter has revealed Steven Alzate missed Albion's defeat by Arsenal due to illness.

The Colombia midfielder was absent from the 20-man matchday squad at the Amex.

He had gone on as sub at half-time for Adam Lallana two days earlier, at West Ham.

Potter said Alzate “is poorly” as he spoke during the head coach’s media session on Thursday afternoon.

Alzate, who suffered injury problems ahead of lockdown early in 2020, posted on Instagram this week: "2021 can only be a better year. Thanks for all your support. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy year."

Potter's team to face Wolves will be revealed at 4.30pm today and there will be changes.

THIS IS HOW ALBION'S PLAYERS ARE FACING UP TO TOUGH NEW YEAR

Neal Maupay, who scored in this fixture last season, looks a near-certain starter having been kept on the bench for most of the Arsenal game.

Solly March is also expected to return but Tariq Lamptey will again miss out.
