Newport County have shown off the hard work they have put in to get their pitch right for the FA Cup.
Staff were hard at work until the early hours after yesterday’s rugby clash between Dragons and Opsreys.
In a time-lapse tweeted this afternoon, County showed how the surface was covered as soon as possible after the Guinness Pro14 game was over.
Newport pride themselves on their own attractive football and want the pitch in as good a state as possible.
But they still hope Albion feel out of their comfort zone as they walk into Rodney Parade.
A brilliant effort from the Rodney Parade groundstaff, who were here until the early hours of the morning re-erecting the dome ahead of this evening’s @EmiratesFACup tie.👏#OneClubOneCounty pic.twitter.com/syGukffLS5

Newport boss Michael Flynn said: “I hope it is an eye opener and they walk through the gates at Rodney Parade and think that they can’t wait to get out of there!
“We’ve got to use things to our advantage because we know that nine times out of ten they win the game because of the quality and strength in depth and the level they are playing at.
“Let’s hope this is that one out of ten and we win, as we have in the past.”
