Moises Caicedo’s boss says a deal is done with a Premier League club for the midfielder.
Albion have been keen on the Ecuador international, who has starred with Independiente Del Valle.
The club’s director of football Santiago Morales said today: “Everything is completed with a Premier club for Moises Caicedo.
“Today he is getting his work visa and between Wednesday and Thursday we will announce it."
Caicedo, 19, is likely to be viewed as a longer-term project in Prem terms.
One report suggests he would go on loan to Tony Bloom's Belgian club Union St-Gilloise if the Seagulls signed him.
Albion are not expected to sell any of their key players, such as Yves Bissouma, this month.
Graham Potter declined to comment on reports of Albion's interest in Caicedo when he spoke to the media this afternoon.
