Reda Khadra has taken to social media after making his senior debut for Albion in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last night.

The 19-year-old came on in the 86th minute to replace Leandro Trossard.

Khadra only joined in the summer and has impressed for Albion's U23's so far this season.

But after making his senior debut, the winger took to Twitter with pictures of him in action at the Etihad with the accompanying message: "A night I won't forget! I’m very happy to have made my debut for this club.

"I would like to thank everyone who supports me.

"Thanks Brighton & Hove Albion from the bottom of my Heart and of course the coaching staff for their trust.

"I got the chance today and hope for more to come."

Head coach Graham Potter was delighted for Khadra.

He said:"I'm sure it was, it would have been nicer if when he had that break down the right side, he would have managed to find someone in the box.

"But it wasn't to be. He got in that area that we thought he would be able to get into.

"He is a young player and he has got some good qualities, but again we need to help to continue to improve."
