How Albion’s players rated against Leeds.

Robert Sanchez 7/10:

Was not called into action much at all in the game. He was commanding of his area from set pieces and picked up his second clean sheet of the season.

Joel Veltman 8/10:

A very underrated performance from the Dutch international.

He dealt with Raphinha and Jack Harrison well and kept them both fairly quiet.

He also got forward and put in a couple of dangerous deliveries into the box.

Dan Burn 7/10:

A solid performance at the back.

He made some good headed clearances throughout the game, including a couple to snuff out some dangerous balls into the box.

Lewis Dunk 7/10:

The skipper led by example.

He Made a couple of vital blocks in the box and marshalled the defence to a much-needed clean sheet.

Adam Webster 8/10:

A very impressive performance from the defender.

He carried the ball out on a number of occasions.

Made a great run from his own half to the edge of the Leeds box and Kiko Casilla almost made an error when trying to save his effort.

Solly March 7/10:

An assured display from the wing back.

He attacked well down the left and put some dangerous deliveries into the box.

March also kept Harrison relatively quiet when he was on the right flank.

Ben White 8/10:

An impressive return to Yorkshire.

He was asked to play in midfield once again and did well carrying the ball forward.

Had a effort in the first half which went wide.

Pascal Gross 7/10:

The German playmaker was asked to play a little deeper.

However, he got stuck and did well at breaking up the play on a few occasions.

Alexis Mac Allister 8/10:

Another good showing from the Argentinian.

He played an instrumental role in the goal after playing a nice give-and-go with Leandro Trossard, before then sending a perfectly weighted ball across goal for Neal Maupay to tap home.

Was replaced in the 62nd minute by Yves Bissouma.

Neal Maupay 8/10:

Looked very lively up top.

Thought he should have had a penalty early on but there was not enough contact from Luke Ayling to send him over.

Scored one of the easiest goals of his career to get his seventh of the season and what proved to be the winner.

Almost turned provider for Trossard in the second half.

Was replaced in the 80th minute by Davy Propper.

Leandro Trossard 7/10:

Played a lovely flick to Mac Allister in the build-up to the goal. Nearly doubled Albion’s lead after his cross was deflected onto the bar.

Had their best chance of the second half but fired over from Maupay’s cross.

Was replaced by Percy Tau in the 73rd minute.

Replaced Mac Allister early in the second half.
