Albion head coach Graham Potter says the Premier League table is of no real importance to them.

The Seagulls won 1-0 away at Leeds this afternoon to move five points clear of the bottom three with Fulham losing against Chelsea.

However, despite Potter's side extending their gap to Fulham, the Albion boss says the table is not their focus.

He said: "Well the league table is of no real importance if you don't get points yourself because if you don't, it does not matter what the other team do or what the league table says.

"So, our focus has been on trying to get those points and trying to improve. 

"We are halfway through the season now but we have to try and get better. 

"There is a lot of good in this team but clearly if you don't get the wins then you are always under pressure, that is the game and the nature of the Premier League."
