Albion head coach Graham Potter is hoping that his side can build on their clean sheet at Leeds.
The shutout at Elland Road was the Seagulls first in six games and was only their fourth in the Premier League this season.
Compare that to last season at the same stage with 19 games gone, and Albion had kept four clean sheets as well.
But Potter believes that their defending has warranted more.
He said: “It helps you to get something from the game, doesn’t it the clean sheet.
“I think we have actually defended quite well this season, but we have conceded goals that are a bit too cheap for the amount of pressure we have been under.”
