Albion won 2-1 against League One side Blackpool at the Amex in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Seagulls took the lead with a stunning strike in the 27th minute after Yves Bissouma found room to shoot from distance and he then fired his effort into the top corner.

Blackpool then levelled right on the stroke of half time as Luke Garbutt’s cross was well poked in by the experienced Gary Madine.

Albion retook the lead in the 58th minute after Alexis Mac Allister’s effort from outside the box took a massive deflection off Steven Alzate’s back and spun into the net with Chris Maxwell being wrong-footed by the strike.

Substitute Neal Maupay had a glorious chance to put the game to bed in the last ten minutes after Leandro Trossard found room down the right and whipped the ball into the unmarked Frenchman but his effort was straight at Maxwell.

The ball then fell back to Maupay, who could not get a good connection on his effort and Maxwell claimed the loose ball.

Albion went close again in stoppage time after Solly March’s picked out Davy Propper with his cross, but the Dutchman's header into the ground was well saved by Maxwell.
