Maty Ryan has said “goodbye for now” to Albion staff and fans.

The popular goalkeeper has joined Arsenal on loan for the rest of the season.

He was on the bench as they exited the FA Cup at Southampton yesterday.

Ryan sent a message via social media today to mark the end of an “incredible” three-and-a-half years together.

The words were accompanied by pictures of three of his most celebrated saves for the Seagulls.

They were penalty saves from Charlie Adam (Stoke) and Wayne Rooney (Everton) plus his stunning fingertip stop from Jannik Vestergaard at Southampton last season.

Ryan wrote: “To my Brighton family, I guess it’s a goodbye for now. It’s been an incredible 3.5 years together until now.

RUSK EXPECTED TO MOVE ON - WITH ALBION'S GOOD WISHES

“To my teammates, coaches and all our amazing staff I thank you for all the support, mentoring and friendship. I’ve grown on and off the football pitch over my time here and have made friends that will last a long time after my football career.

“To all the loyal fans, it’s been an honour to wear your badge. I’ve always given my absolute all to the club and left no stone unturned in trying to contribute the best I can to the successes of the club.

“It’s been a privilege to play at home and away in front of you all. Over these last 3.5 years we have shared some the best memories of my career and Brighton will always have a special place in my heart.

“I wish you all the very best for the remainder of the season.”
