Premier League clubs have been given a boost in their battle to keep Covid-19 at bay.
The latest round of routine testing produced NO positive cases.
There were eight positive coronavirus tests out of 2,518 Prem players and club staff over the two rounds which took place last week.
That in itself was a 50% drop on the previous week, when 16 cases were recorded.

No positives came back from samples taken between Friday and yesterday.
The improved results will be seen as a real boost to the league, which has imposed tighter anti-Covid protocols in a bid to ward off any threat of the competition being suspended.
