Glenn Murray is expected to leave Albion.
The striker is set to link up again with his former Seagulls boss Chris Hughton at Nottingham Forest.
It is understood the deal will be a full transfer rather than loan.
That will end an association with Albion which saw him score 103 league goals and contribute fully to two promotions as well as Prem survival.
WHY ARE PREM BOSSES GETTING ON EACH OTHER'S NERVES?
Murray has been unable to secure playing time on loan at Watford.
Forest will look to him to score goals to guide them away from the Championship drop zone
