Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has been tipped as a future international goalkeeper with Spain.

The young Spaniard is now first choice at the Amex and could go on to star on the world stage - according to a former teammate player.

Ex-Albion defender Jimmy McNulty reportedly reckons he could go on to be Spain's number one choice in goal.

The 35-year-old defender played with Sanchez during his loan spell at Rochdale last season.

Since then Sanchez has returned to Brighton and earned the starting spot between the sticks.

The 23-year-old has managed four clean sheets in the ten appearances he has made in the Premier League.

He has a much better save percentage than Maty Ryan, who recently joined Arsenal on loan.

Sanchez has saved 72% of shots he has faced compared to the 46% of efforts stopped by Ryan.

This has been a considerable boost to Graham Potter's defence.

Sanchez has already guaranteed himself his place in Brighton for the foreseeable future.

However, when it comes to Spain, he has Manchester United's David De Gea, Roma's Pau Lopez and Athletic Bilbao's Unai Simon ahead of him.

It is early days in Sanchez's career but there is plenty of time for him to improve even further.

Accoding to The Atheltic, McNulty has been full of praise for the youngster.
