Dale Stephens has been told he is getting better all the time with Burnley.

The former Albion midfielder could face his old club at Turf Moor today.

He has taken time to make an impact after his move back north earlier this season.

But Sean Dyche believes he is on the right path.

The Clarets boss said: “I think he’s adapting all the time.

“He played very well down at Fulham (in the FA Cup).

“He’s getting more used to what we do, he tried to affect the game in a positive manner (after going on as sub against Manchester City).

“He’s beginning to fit in. I said to him when he came here that he was taking a lot on.

“He had been down at Brighton for a long time and moved back north.

“His family was trying to settle while he was trying to settle into a new group and getting used to our way of doing things.

“I think he’s done a good job of that because it’s not easy.”

Stephens was a central character for Albion before losing his place this season.
