Graham Potter is facing a selection decision when Tariq Lamptey returns to fitness.

The right wing-back could be back in contention for the visit of Crystal Palace.

But Joel Veltman turned in an inspired display down that flank against Aston Villa.

Potter also expects to have Adam Webster available after an ankle injury although he reported the centre-back was “not close” to making the Villa game.

The Seagulls boss said: “Joel can play in a few positions, so can Tariq.

“We have got some players who are important for us who were missing.

“But it says a lot about the group and the team that we can carry on and deliver a really good performance.

“It’s always about the guys who are on the pitch.

“Joel has been fantastic. He has played numerous roles but I’d say that was one of his best nights.”

POTTER BEGINS LONG LEAD-IN TO PALACE GAME

Veltman's performance against Jack Grealish could have fans wondering whether he is the man to keep Wilfried Zaha quiet - IF the Palace talisman is passed fit.

Zaha has been absent of late with a thigh muscle problem.
