Albion will take things carefully with Tariq Lamptey when he returns to action.

Graham Potter has confirmed he is unlikely to give the wing-back a full game straight away when he returns from injury.

Lamptey has already been ruled out of tonight’s game at home to Crystal Palace.

But the hope going into the weekend was he could at least take part in training.

Albion boss Potter was this weekend assessing options wth Lamptey, Solly March and Adam Webster set to miss the Palace clash.

Lamptey has been ruled out since December due to a hamstring problem.

Head coach Potter said: “I think it would be sensible to ease him in.

ROBERT SANCHEZ OPENS UP ON WHAT HE IS LEARNING AS ALBION NO.1

"He won't be ready to go straight into 90 minutes football after the time he has had off. So we have to be careful with that.

"Even though he is cleared from the medical department, there is still a process of reintegration to football and developing his football fitness and dealing with the rigours of the Premier League."
