Albion head coach Graham Potter felt their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace was ‘cruel’.
The Seagulls dominated possession and looked the be the team most likely to win the game in the second half after Joel Veltman had cancelled out Jean-Philippe Mateta's opener.
However, four minutes into stoppage time Christian Benteke scored the winner.
But Potter felt the defeat was harsh on his side.
He said: "It's the beauty of football, although it doesn't feel beautiful at the moment.
"It only looked like there was going to be one winner in the second half.
"To come away with nothing was cruel but we can't feel sorry for ourselves.
"But we have to use the pain as a motivation."
