Albion midfielder Jayson Molumby is being backed to have his say on the pitch.
The 21-year-old, who is on a loan at Championship Preston, has been impressing with his performances in Lancashire.
Molumby has made 11 appearances for North End in all competitions and has picked up one assist in the process.
Eight of those 11 appearances have been starts.
However he found himself on the bench in their games against QPR and Huddersfield last month.
The Republic of Ireland international returned to the starting XI on Tuesday night as he headed back to the Den for the first time since his loan spell at Millwall ended.
Molumby’s return did not go to plan as North End lost 2-1.
Despite having been in and out of the side so far in his loan spell, Dave Seddon, who covers Preston for the Lancashire evening post, believes Molumby can have a positive impact on the pitch.
He said: “He’s done quite well since he came in. Jayson was the first of eight signings made during the January window and triggered quite a lot of excitement when he signed.
“Molumby has been used in a couple of different roles, a bit deeper in some games and in an advanced midfield role in other matches.
“He’s looked lively, energetic and there will be more to come from him. He has got a bit of an edge to him, which is good - he’ll have his say on the pitch.”
Molumby also played a vital part in Preston’s goal against Millwall.
Seddon said: “He did okay at Millwall - the club where he spent last season on loan.
“It was his interception which set in motion the move for North End’s goal - a lead, unfortunately, they couldn’t hang on to, with them losing it late on.
“He got a yellow card for pulling a Millwall player back - the old ‘take one for the team’ yellow card to stop a potential counter-attack.”
With Alex Neil’s side still having 14 games left to play in the season, Molumby will be hoping to hold down a place in the side.
But Seddon believes he could be a regular feature in the final stages of the season.
He said: “I think he can hold down a place.
“The midfield is a well-staffed area of the PNE squad but he suits how Alex Neil wants his side to play.
“With a lot of games and the Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday schedule, there will be rotation and he might not play every game.”
