How Albion's players rated across the 90 minutes against Leicester.

Robert Sanchez 6/10

An average mark which attempts to encapsulate highs and a low. He was impressive for 80-odd minutes but it counted for nought in terms of points after his misjudgement and flap at that late corner. Earlier highlights were a fine save from Tavares, an alert block from Ricardo and, ironically, his claiming of crosses.

Joel Veltman 6

Sound again down his side without really offering any standout moments.

Ben White 7

Made a couple of impressive interventions in a decent defensive display.

Lewis Dunk 6

Exposed on a couple of notable occasions, for the equaliser by the guile of Tielemans and the movement of Iheanacho, then by Vardy for the Leicester penalty shout.

Dan Burn 6

A shame he could not get on the end of a Dunk header in front of goal late on. Had a decent game at left-back against a Leicester side who seemed to think they could get in behind him.

Yves Bissouma 6

Probably better in the first half than second, although his best moment defensively came in the latter with a superbly timed tackle.

Alexis Mac Allister 6/10

Given more of an engine room role and looked like he was helping make the overall system work in the first half. Slightly surprising he was taken off.

Pascal Gross 6/10

Employed on the right and was involved in some good stuff in open play on the first half. A nicely weighted pass for Lallana was his second-half highlight but passing was sometimes off target (such as a second-half ball which sent Maupay wide) and set-pieces were certainly below his usual standard.

Leandro Trossard 5/10

Buzzed early on in a role on the left but too little was seen of him across the 90 minutes.

Adam Lallana 8/10

A first goal for Albion, a welcome full 90 minutes and his best display for the club. Involved in all his side’s highlight moments and also some nice little touches to make room for himself or others. Had an attempted through pass picked off by Leicester ahead of their equaliser. That was clearly a lapse but plenty still had to happen before they scored.

Neal Maupay 7/10

Great work ahead of the goal and a nice finish later on - but should be have taken more care to remain onside? Generally positive and worked well with Lallana.

Subs

Steven Alzate 5/10

Sent on to try and help retain possession but didn’t really get into the game and appeared to lose Amartey for the final goal.

Danny Welbeck N/A

Helped create a chance for Lallana as he won the ball back.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh N/A

A surprising option in the quest for a late goal and never got into the game.
