Albion made it three wins in a row in the WSL as they beat Spurs 2-0 at The People’s Pension Stadium.

Both goals came in the second half with Inessa Kaagaman scoring a brace.

The Seagulls had the first chance of the match as Megan Connolly found room from a shot from distance, but here effort was comfortably saved by Aurora Mikelsen.

Emma Koivisto went close to grabbing her first goal for the club after she got on the end of Ellie Brazil’s cross, but her effort was saved by Mikelsen.

Tottenham went straight down the other end and created a good chance when Allana Kennedy's cross was just missed by Kit Graham at the back post.

Albion then went inches from taking the lead after Maya Le Tissier picked out the run of Koivisto but Ester Morgan slid in to put the ball behind for a corner.

From the resulting corner, Connolly's delivery was punched up in the air by Mikelsen and the ball was then poked goalwards and Graham was alert to hook the ball off the line!

Spurs then went close just before the break as Ria Percival got in behind the defence, but Williams did well to keep up with her and hook the ball behind for a corner.

From the resulting corner, Percival’s delivery was met by Kennedy at the back post but Koivisto headed her effort off the line.

Spurs hit the woodwork in the 57th minute after Percival’s free kick was met by Kennedy who effort came back off the bar and fall to Graham, whose effort was deflected behind for a corner.

Albion made Spurs pay for those misses five minutes as Kaagman fired them in front.

Guem Min-Lee’s ball from the right was flicked on by Brazil into the path of the Dutch midfielder, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

Kaagman doubled Albion’s lead in the 73rd minute after she got on the end of substitute Nora Heroum’s pass and slotted the ball home.

The Seagulls were denied twice by the bar, as Lee’s effort from outside the box hit the frame of the goal and the ball was then back onto the bar by Connolly.

Graham nearly pulled one back for Spurs after her effort from 25 yards came back off the bar.

The win means Albion stay seventh in the WSL, but are just a point behind sixth place Reading, who face Bristol City tomorrow night.
