Paulo Sousa has praised an “amazing” first Premier League start by Jakub Moder.
Poland’s new boss stopped short of saying he would name the Albion man in his first starting XI.
But Moder is expected to be in the team which faces Hungary in Budapest.
The midfielder helped the Seagulls beat Newcastle 3-0 on Saturday.
Asked this evening about his progress, Sousa told Szymon Borczuch of TV Sport: “I don’t like to individualise.
“The last game at Brighton in the Premier League was amazing.
“Of course the tempo is different.
“To integrate and to play more regularly in these top leagues is not easy.
“Technically he is a great player. He is a big lad physically.
“What he needs to improve a lot is the intensity.”

Sousa highlighted some of Moder’s qualities.
He said: “The way he reads the game, the technical quality, the long passes, his shooting from outside the box.
“He needs to bring more aggression with the ball, without the ball.
“But he’s working in that direction and hopefully tomorrow, if he plays, he can deliver a top game.
