Crawley suffered their third successive defeat in League Two after they were beaten 2-0 by Carlisle.
First half goals from Joe Riley and Omari Patrick secured the three points for the hosts.
Carlisle took the lead in the 16th minute, after Riley let fly from 25 yards and the ball bounced awkwardly in front of goalkeeper Glenn Morris and went in.
It was two ten minutes before the break after Omari was allowed to bring the ball forward and he then hit an effort from 30 yards, which flew into the top corner.
Crawley went close to pulling one back after Nick Tsaroulla was brought down just outside the box.
From the resulting free kick, Jack Powell’s effort went just over the bar.
The defeat leaves the Reds 12th in the table and still six points off the play-off places.
Head coach John Yems will be hoping his side can back to winning ways on Friday when they travel to Scunthorpe (1pm).
