Albion were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Graham Potter's side took the lead in the 13th minute, after Neal Maupay's cross was met by Danny Welbeck.
His initial header was well saved by Dean Henderson, but the striker reacted quickest and nodded the ball home from close range at the second time of asking.
Skipper Lewis Dunk went close to doubling their lead after his header from Pascal Gross' free kick was tipped onto the bar by Henderson.
United drew level in the 62nd minute after Bruno Fernandes picked out Marcus Rashford, who then slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
The game looked to be heading for a draw until Mason Greenwood struck in the 83rd minute.
A cross from Fernandes was met by Paul Pogba at the back post and his effort was hit into the ground and went back across goal where Greenwood headed in despite Robert Sanchez and Ben White's best efforts to keep the ball out.
