Albion head coach Graham Potter has been pleased with how quickly Jakub Moder has adapted to English football.

The 21-year-old Polish midfielder has made four appearances in all competitions, which has included three starts.

Two of those have come in the Seagulls last two Premier League matches against Newcastle and Manchester United where he has impressed in an unfamiliar role of left wing back with Dan Burn and Solly March having been out injured.

In between those games he also opened his account for Poland scoring against England in their 2-1 defeat at Wembley during the international break.

But Potter has been pleased with how well he has settled into life on the South Coast and how he has performed in recent weeks.

He said: “He’s settled in well. He came to us off the back of a little break he had with the winter break in Poland and had played a lot of football prior to that before he came to us.

“On top of that he has had to adapt to a new club, a new team, a new league and country.

“So he has done all of that really well.

“The team went through a period at the start of the year where we were playing well and getting some good results, so he’s had to be patient.

“But he’s done all of that well. He has got to know the players well, built relationships with them and I think he has contributed well.”
