Sussex head into the final day of their County Championship match against Glamorgan with work to do, despite some impressive bowling from Ollie Robinson.

The 27-year-old seamer finished on 67 as Sussex were bowled out for 481 early on in day three.

He then ended the day with figures of 4 for 59 from his 20 overs, as Glamorgan recovered from 46 for 3 to finish on 258 for 5 at the close of play thanks to another century from Kiran Carlson.

That means the hosts will go into the final day leading by 62 runs with five wickets in hand.

Sussex resumed day three on 481 for 9, but did not add a run to their overnight total as obinson was the final man out for 67 after being trapped lbw by Michael Hogan.

Robinson made his mark early on in the Glamorgan innings as he trapped Nick Selman and David Lloyd lbw to leave the hosts 30 for 2 after ten overs.

Billy Root, the younger brother of England skipper Joe, was next to go after he was trapped lbw by Henry Crocombe for eight, to leave Glamorgan 46 for 3.

Andrew Balbrine and Carlson then put on a partnership of 49 for the fourth wicket, before Robinson struck again trapping Balbrine lbw for 29.

Skipper Chris Cooke came in and with Carlson helped to steady the ship, but after putting on a partnership of 55, Cooke edged the ball to wicketkeeper Ben Brown off the bowling of Robinson.

But that would be the last wicket that Glamorgan would lose on day three with Carlson bringing up his ton to make it back-to-back centuries in the match.

He finished the day unbeaten on 129 alongside Callum Taylor who finished on 33 not out.
