Albion defender Haydon Roberts will miss the rest of the season.

The 18-year-old, who is on loan at League One side Rochdale, picked up a hamstring injury in training after their 2-1 win over Swindon last Tuesday.

But Dale manager Brian Barry-Murphy has revealed he looks set to miss the rest of the campaign.

He said: “Haydon Roberts damaged his hamstring quite badly in training after Tuesday’s game.

"The nature of the hamstring injury means that he’ll probably miss the rest of the season, bearing in mind that the rest of the season is so short.”

Roberts has made 26 appearances for Rochdale in League One, with the last of those coming in their 1-0 defeat against Fleetwood earlier this month.
