Adam Lallana felt Albion deserved to come away with all three points in their goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old had a chance after coming on in the second half for Leandro Trossard which he curled just wide of the post.

Lallana then nicked the ball off Chelsea minutes later and played the ball to Danny Welbeck who then struck the post with his curling effort from outside of the box.

The follow-up from Welbeck was then cleared off the line and Lallana then had his effort saved by Kepa.

The point leaves Albion seven clear of the drop with a game in hand over Fulham in 18th.

But the midfielder felt they deserved to bring all three points back to Sussex.

“Yeah definitely (we should have won) we had a couple of chances at the end, I had a chance myself and then we nicked the ball back off then and Danny (Welbeck) has hit the post with a screamer and then one off the line.

“That is what football is about the underdogs, we came here tonight and I thought we were outstanding, deserved all three points and there were lots of positives to take.”
