Albion head coach Graham Potter has given an update on striker Percy Tau ahead of their trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United on Saturday (8pm).

The 27-year-old had missed out since the international break due to isolating after returning from international duty with South Africa.

But Potter confirmed he was back in training ahead of their draw with Chelsea at the start of this week.

However, he was not part of the squad at Stamford Bridge and Potter revealed why that was.

He said: Percy Tau is recovering from a tight hamstring and that is why he wasn’t in the squad on Tuesday, but he trained the morning, so we will see how he reacts.”

Potter also admits they will have to keep a close eye on how Adam Webster, Dan Burn and Danny Welbeck recover from the game at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “No (injuries to the squad) everybody came through the game okay.

“There are a couple of lads we need to be careful in Adam Webster and Dan Burn, who have only just returned to action. We will also see how Danny recovers from the game.”
