Adam Webster says Lewis Dunk deserves an England recall.

And he would love the chance to represent the national team himself.

Dunk earned high praise from his boss Graham Potter after leading Albion to a 2-0 win over Leeds.

The Seagulls have kept three successive clean sheets and are on the brink of securing a fifth consecutive season in the top tier.

The back three of Webster, Dunk and Ben White were reunited on Saturday and kept dangerous Leeds very quiet.

Webster said: “I think we complement each other well.

“It’s pretty mad how he (Dunk) is not spoke about that much.

“For me he is one of the centre- backs we have got in the country and definitely in the league.

“Obviously if he was playing for a big club he’d definitely be in the squad.

“All he can do is keep playing well, as he has been all season and maybe he might get the call.”

Webster is back in the old routine after ten weeks out with an ankle injury and retains ambitions to make the England squad.

He told TalkSPORT: “I’d love to. Hopefully one day that call may come.

“It’s obviously every boy’s dream.

“We got to just keep doing what we’re doing.

“We’ve got a good defensive record this season in terms of stats and clean ahead sheets.

“I feel like we’ve all had good seasons so who knows?”
